The Grossglockner Chalets are perfectly situated in the middle of the local ski resorts Schmittenhöhe-Zell am See & Maiskogel-Kaprun & Kitzsteinhorn-Kaprun. The free of charge ski bus takes you to the close by cable car “Areitbahn” in only a few minutes. If you want to use your own car you will find a free of charge huge car park also only 3 minutes from the house. The chalets offer a stunning view to the glacier ski resort and the Maiskogel ski area in Kaprun.
Skiing in Zell am See stands for perfectly made slopes, free ride runs, fun slopes for every age and amazing parks and pipes. In the evening there is après ski before you can enjoy a good meal in one of the many restaurants. Ski rental and several ski schools complete your winter holiday package. In Zell am See you have the choice of three ski resorts:
The glacier ski resort Kitzsteinhorn offers skiing already from October when all the surrounding mountains still show themselves in autumn colours. The Schmittenhoehe directly in Zell am See starts its skiing season in December and offers slopes for every level. The Maiskogel ski resort in Kaprun is a family ski resorts that offers also slopes for better skiers. All ski resort have many huts to enjoy a warm drink and a good meal.
One of the key features of our ski resorts is their snow reliability. Nearly 100% of the slopes have facilities for artificial snowmaking and the glacier offers a natural snow security.

A cross country track runs only 100m away from the house and opens up into a broad net of 100km of tracks. When the golf course is closed during winter time you will find here a wide area with fine view for romantic winter hikes.
